Pat Roberts Developmental Centre

A bilingual nursery school for children who are developmentally delayed or have an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. The Centre is under the West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped (WIAIH). The daycare service is free for WIAIH members. An association of disability professionals at universities. The role of AQICESH:

SOCIAL ASSISTANCE

Réussir Program

Réussir is a social assistance and support program for people with a severely limited capacity for employment who want help gaining access to secondary vocational studies or post-secondary studies. Under the Réussir program, you'll be eligible to receive financial assistance as well as loans and bursaries from the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport. The program is for those who:

  • Want to take a vocational or post-secondary training program (the program and the educational institution must be recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport)
  • Are deemed to have a severely limited capacity for employment
  • Have received social assistance for 12 of the past 24 months

To qualify, you have to submit an application for financial assistance under the Loans and Bursaries Program of the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport and meet its eligibility requirements. In addition, if you have one of the recognized major functional disabilities, you must indicate that on your Application for Financial Assistance form. You must also have a general practitioner or medical specialist fill out and send the Medical Certificate – Major Functional Disabilities and Other Recognized Disabilities form. Rick Hansen Foundation School Program

This program is about creating an accessible and inclusive world for people with all types of disabilities. It offers free educational resources for youth in kindergarten to grade twelve, developed by educators for educators.
